Can diabetics have apples?

I love apples and used to eat one every day. My son told me some fruits are not good for diabetics, so now I'm scared to eat them. Can a diabetic person still enjoy apples regularly?

Apples are a beautiful gift of nature, full of life and fiber. Eating a small one in the morning with a positive mind will only nourish your body. Just be grateful for fresh food and eat in moderation.

Yes, of course you can. Apples have a low glycemic index and are packed with fiber. Just eat the whole fruit with the skin, don't drink apple juice which is just pure sugar sugar.

I used to panic and avoid all fruits when I was first diagnosed, thinking even apples would spike my sugar. But honestly, a green or red apple in the afternoon never caused any issues for me. It is totally safe and healthy.

With my PCOS and insulin resistance, I have to be very careful with fruit sugars. I usually stick to green apples as they are slightly less sweet, and I never eat them on an empty stomach to avoid any insulin spikes.

Actually yaar, apples are the best snack when you get those sudden afternoon cravings. They don't spike your glucose instantly like bananas or mangoes. Just have one small apple and you are good to go.

In my experience, eating half an apple along with a handful of almonds keeps my sugar levels absolutely stable. The fats in the nuts seem to slow down any sugar absorption from the fruit.

I eat an apple almost every day before hitting the gym. It gives me clean energy and my sugar levels stay completely in the normal range. Go for it, just don't eat three at a time.
