Can diabetics eat zucchini?

My wife is trying to add more variety to our vegetable intake, and she bought zucchini this time. Since I have diabetes, I just wanted to double-check if it's suitable for me to eat. Is zucchini generally okay for diabetics?

Zucchini is absolutely perfect for diabetics! I log it on my app regularly and it has almost zero glycemic load and very low carbs. You can even use a spiralizer to make zucchini noodles as a low-carb pasta swap.

Zucchini is generally considered safe and healthy, but don't just rely on online advice for your diet. Everyone's body responds differently to vegetables. It is always best to verify with your doctor or dietician during your next checkup.

I was hesitant to try zucchini because it is not a traditional Indian vegetable and I worry about how new foods affect my sugar. Has anyone here eaten it regularly without any sudden drops or spikes? I'd feel much better knowing your experiences.

I eat stir-fried zucchini with some garlic and olive oil almost every week. It is super light, delicious, and has absolutely no impact on my blood sugar. Go for it without any worries.

My clinical nutritionist at Aster Medcity highly recommended adding zucchini to my diet because of its high water and fiber content. However, you should ask your doctor clearly to see how it fits into your daily calorie and carb limits.
