Yellow rice is usually just white rice cooked with turmeric, which means it still has a very high glycemic index. Don't let the yellow color fool you into thinking it's safe. I always limit my portion to a few spoons and load my plate with dal and salad instead.
I have had diabetes for over 20 years, and I can tell you that you don't need to completely stop eating your favorite rice. Just make sure you eat a very small portion of yellow rice, and compensate by taking a nice walk after your meal.

I have tried everything from karela juice to methi seeds to control my sugar. While turmeric in yellow rice has good anti-inflammatory benefits, the rice itself will still spike you. Try replacing the white rice with broken wheat (daliya) to make a yellow pulao instead.
Actually yellow rice is just normal rice with haldi and spices, so it will spike your sugar level yaar. If you really want it, try making it with brown rice or quinoa instead. It tastes almost the same and is much safer.

Just adding turmeric doesn't make white rice miraculously safe for diabetics, so don't believe everything you read online. You must verify your meal plan with your doctor or a qualified dietician who knows your exact health condition.
Yellow rice cooked naturally with turmeric is good for digestion and immunity. However, since it is high in simple carbs, eat it mindfully and in very small quantities. Pair it with daily yoga to help your body manage insulin levels better.
