Can diabetics eat tuna with mayo?

I enjoy making tuna sandwiches with mayo for a quick meal. I'm diabetic, and I'm trying to be mindful of what I eat. Is it okay for diabetics to eat tuna mixed with mayonnaise, or should I avoid the mayo due to its fat content?

I used to feel so guilty eating anything creamy after my diagnosis, thinking it would ruin my health. But tuna with a small amount of mayo is actually very low-carb and didn't spike my sugars. Just keep the mayo quantity in check.

Yes, you can absolutely enjoy this combo! Tuna is pure protein and mayo is mostly fats, so carbs are super low. Try using low-fat olive oil mayo for an even healthier twist.

I have enjoyed tuna salad with a light mayo dressing for years without any issues. Since it contains almost no sugar, it keeps the glucose levels stable. Just make sure to eat it with cucumber slices instead of bread.

I totally get it, managing cravings while keeping your blood sugar stable is a daily challenge. Tuna with mayo is generally safe for your sugar, but try substituting half the mayo with Greek yogurt to keep the calories down.

Hey, don't stress too much! Tuna and mayo is a solid low-carb snack that won't mess with your sugar. Just don't slather it on white bread; eat it as a lettuce wrap or with some multi-grain crackers.
