Can diabetics eat tangerines?

I enjoy eating fruits, but I'm always worried about the sugar content since I have diabetes. Tangerines are in season now, and I like their taste. Can diabetics eat tangerines, or are they too sweet? How many can I have?

I totally understand the anxiety of searching if every single fruit is safe to eat when you have diabetes. Don't worry, tangerines are actually great because they have vitamin C and fiber. Just eat the whole fruit instead of drinking the juice.

I was just reading up on this because my uncle loves citrus fruits. Tangerines have a low glycemic index, so they are generally safe for diabetics. Just stick to one medium-sized fruit at a time.

Haan bilkul kha sakte hain, par dhyan rahe ki saara phal khao, uska juice nikal kar mat peena. Juice se sugar jaldi badhta hai kyunki fiber nikal jata hai. Ek din me ek kafi hai.

While tangerines are rich in fiber, they still contain natural fructose. Don't blindly trust generic advice online. It is always best to check with your doctor if citrus fruits fit into your personalized daily carb allowance.

In my 20 years of managing diabetes, I have always eaten small oranges and tangerines during winters. They never caused any major spike for me as long as I ate them whole. Enjoy them in moderation, they are very refreshing.

Tangerines are cheap, healthy, and easily available in the market. Instead of buying expensive diabetic snacks, just carry a tangerine with you for evening hunger. It is a very simple and pocket-friendly option.
