Can diabetics eat sugar free cookies?

Sometimes I really crave something sweet, and I see these 'sugar-free' cookies in the store. It sounds like a good option for a diabetic like me. But are sugar-free cookies truly safe and healthy, or should I still avoid them?

I used to panic looking at the carb count on 'sugar-free' cookies, but I realized they are completely fine in moderation. Just have one or two with your evening tea and check your levels, you will see it is quite manageable.

I worry so much about hidden ingredients in these packaged foods. Even if they don't have sugar, they still have refined flour (maida) which can spike your levels. Maybe check the ingredient list very closely before buying?

I bought some ragi-based sugar-free cookies recently and they are actually so good. Just make sure to look at the total carbs on the back, not just the sugar content, to keep things balanced.

I tried making homemade oats cookies with stevia instead of buying the market ones, and they are much safer. Packaged cookies often have bad fats which aren't good for our health anyway.

Hey, don't stress too much about finding the perfect snack! Having a sugar-free cookie with your tea is totally fine. Just don't eat the whole pack in one sitting and you'll be good.
