Can diabetics eat sour cream?

I enjoy making different dishes at home, and sometimes recipes call for sour cream. Now that I have diabetes, I'm not sure about ingredients like this. Is sour cream generally safe for someone with high sugar levels, or should I look for an alternative?

A regular sour cream is actually low in carbs, so it doesn't spike sugar levels like sweet creams do. But remember, it has a lot of fat. Use a spoonful or two to garnish your soup or salad, but don't go overboard with the portions.

Along with diabetes, I have to manage my blood pressure too, so I have to watch my fat intake closely. Sour cream has sodium and saturated fats which can affect heart health. Keep getting your lipid profile and BP checked regularly if you are planning to add these to your diet.

Humare yahan toh sour cream ki jagah ghar ka fresh dahi use karte hain thoda n निचोड़ kar. It is very healthy and safe for sugar patients. If you get market sour cream, just check that there is no added starch or sugar in it.

My mother always says that simple, fermented foods are good for digestion. Sour cream is fermented, so a little bit is fine, but since we are diabetic we must be careful. I always check with my doctor during my monthly visit before trying these western ingredients.

Sour cream is great for a low-carb diet as it doesn't cause sudden glucose spikes. Just watch out for the calorie density if you are trying to manage your weight. Buy the full-fat version instead of 'low-fat' ones, because low-fat products often have added sugar to improve taste.
