Can diabetics eat sherbet ice cream?

It's so hot these days, and I miss having a small scoop of ice cream. My son brought home some sherbet ice cream. I'm diabetic, so I want to know if this type of ice cream is a better option or if I should just avoid all of them.

I go to Max Hospital for my checkups and my doctor specifically warned me about frozen desserts. Sherbet ice cream is mostly sugar and fruit juice, which is a double whammy. You should definitely consult your doctor first before having even a scoop.

Let's be realistic, on a busy day we don't have time to manage heavy sugar spikes. Sherbet ice cream has high sugar content and will disturb your energy levels. If you have cravings, go for unsweetened Greek yogurt with a few berries instead, it's much faster and safer.

Namaste. Look, sherbet ice cream looks light but it is packed with hidden sugars. In my experience of managing diabetes for 15 years, it is best to avoid these frozen treats. If the craving is too much, just have one tiny bite after a fiber-rich meal, but don't make it a habit.

Our bodies respond so beautifully when we eat clean, natural foods. Sherbet ice cream has processed sugars that disturb our internal balance. Try some cold buttermilk with roasted cumin and mint instead, it is so cooling and totally safe for your health.

My teenager has type 1 diabetes and kids obviously crave ice cream. We tried sherbet ice cream once and his sugar shot up like crazy. Now I make homemade sugar-free popsicles using fresh lemon and stevia at home, which is much safer and keeps him happy too.
