Can diabetics eat sherbet?

My doctor told me to cut down on sweets after my diabetes diagnosis. I really miss having something cool and refreshing, especially with summer coming. Is it okay for me to have a little sherbet occasionally, ya fir isme bhi bohot sugar hoti hai?

Actually, I was just reading about this yesterday. Sherbet has quite a lot of sugar and liquid sugars spike glucose levels really quickly. Honestly, it is probably better to avoid it or check for sugar-free options.

I would say please don't take any risk with sweet drinks like sherbet. It's always safer to ask your doctor or diabetologist before having these things. They can tell you exactly based on your latest HbA1c reports.

Having dealing with thyroid, I know how easily sweet things can mess up your metabolism. For diabetes, it is even trickier so you should get a regular fasting sugar test done first. Take your reports to your doc and ask if a small portion fits into your diet chart.

Oh god, even I get so confused about what to eat and what not to, it makes me so anxious. Has anyone here actually tried drinking diluted sherbet and checked their levels after? Did it cause a massive spike or was it okay?

Honestly, sherbet is loaded with simple carbs. I track all my meals on an app and even a small glass can instantly overshoot your daily carb limit. If you really want it, try making a custom version at home with stevia and log it to see how it affects your daily macros.
