Can diabetics eat pistachio nuts?

I enjoy having a small handful of pistachios as an evening snack. My doctor told me to manage my diabetes carefully. Are pistachio nuts a healthy snack option for diabetics, or should I be careful about the quantity?

My doctor at KEM Hospital recommended pistachios as they have a low glycemic index and are rich in antioxidants and healthy fats. He noted that they help improve insulin sensitivity, but advised eating only unsalted, raw, or dry-roasted ones.

My newborn woke me up four times last night, so my brain is barely functioning, but I can confidently tell you pistachios are great. They keep you awake and chewing without spiking your blood sugar. Just don't eat the salted ones or you'll be chugging water all night.

I remember feeling so overwhelmed and restricted when I was first diagnosed, thinking I couldn't enjoy any snacks. Finding out that pistachios are not only safe but actually good for my sugar levels was such a relief. You can definitely enjoy a small handful.

I always get so anxious about calories and fats in nuts, but pistachios are actually lower in calories compared to others. Just count out exactly 15 to 20 shells so you don't overeat them. It really helps keep the anxiety away!

Pistachios are my go-to study snack now since my dad got diagnosed and we cleaned out the kitchen pantry. They are super easy to munch on and won't mess with your glucose levels. Just buy the plain ones from the supermarket.

Actually, pistachios are a lifesaver, yaar. When you get those random hunger pangs at 5 PM, a small handful of pista is so much better than biscuits. Just make sure they aren't fried or heavily salted.

I totally get it, worrying about every single snack is exhausting. But pistachios are very friendly for diabetics because they have healthy fats and protein. You can have them daily as a safe and healthy evening snack.
