Can diabetics eat pineapple?

My wife bought some fresh pineapple, and it looks really tempting. I have diabetes, so I'm always hesitant with sweet fruits. Can I eat pineapple, or is it one of those fruits that spikes blood sugar too much?

Pineapple has a medium glycemic index of around 59. I track my glucose levels on my app, and a small cup of pineapple (about 80g) doesn't cause a spike if I eat it right after a high-protein meal. Just make sure to log your portions.

I used to eat pineapple slices thinking fruits are always healthy, but my HbA1c shot up to 9 because I was ignoring my symptoms. Please get a proper blood test done and consult your doctor before adding sugary fruits to your daily diet.

Pineapple is so sweet, it makes me super nervous just thinking about it. But I read that it's okay if you have just one or two thin slices occasionally. Maybe try eating it with some walnuts to prevent any sudden sugar rush, just to be safe.

Pineapple is fine to have occasionally, but please don't drink pineapple juice as it lacks fiber and spikes sugar fast. Stick to eating a few raw chunks. It has a digestive enzyme called bromelain which is actually good for you.

I totally get it, craving sweet fruits like pineapple and having to restrict yourself is so hard. You don't have to completely ban it, though. Just have a tiny portion as a treat after a fiber-rich salad so you can enjoy the taste safely.

It is safe to eat a small piece of pineapple occasionally. Don't worry too much, just keep your portions small and monitor your levels regularly.

Yes, they can eat it but only in very limited portions. Combining it with a handful of almonds helps keep the blood sugar stable.

Beta, ananas thoda meetha hota hai par kabhi kabhar thoda sa khane me koi burai nahi hai. Din ke samay ek-do tukda kha lo, par dhyan rakhna ki sham ko ya khali pet mat khana.

You can definitely enjoy some fresh pineapple! Just make sure it's fresh and not the canned sweet syrup version. Pair it with some curd or seeds and you are good to go.

I eat pineapple sometimes after my gym sessions. Since it has a moderate GI, it's not the safest fruit out there, but a small portion is absolutely fine. Just don't go eating the whole fruit by yourself.
