Can diabetics eat pecans?

My daughter sent me a gift box from the US, and it has some pecans. I have diabetes, and I'm cautious about trying new foods. Are pecans a safe nut for diabetics to snack on, or should I avoid them?

I totally get it, navigating what nuts you can and cannot eat with diabetes is so confusing. But don't worry, pecans are actually super safe. They have almost no carbs and are packed with healthy fats, so they won't raise your sugar at all.

I am always terrified of eating imported nuts like pecans because I worry they might have hidden sugars or trigger a sudden spike. Has anyone here actually eaten pecans and checked their blood sugar afterwards? Did you face any issues?

I used to panic every time I ate anything other than almonds, thinking my sugar would go out of control. But then I tried pecans and kept checking my levels, they remained absolutely normal. They are very low in glycemic index, so please relax and enjoy them.

Haan bilkul kha sakte hain, pecans toh bahut acche hote hain health ke liye. Bas ye dhyan rakhna ki plain wale hi khana, wo jo caramelized ya chocolate coated milte hain na, unhe dur se hi ram-ram keh dena.

Pecans are good but honestly they are quite expensive and hard to find in local Indian markets. You can easily eat walnuts or akhrot instead, they have almost the same benefits and are much cheaper and easily available nearby.
