Can diabetics eat peanuts?

I love munching on peanuts, especially in the evenings with my chai. My doctor recently told me my sugar levels are a bit high. Can I still eat peanuts as a snack, or should I avoid them now?

Haan bilkul kha sakte hain, peanuts ka glycemic index bahut low hota hai. Bass ye dhyan rakhna ki plain roasted wale khao, wo jo market me fried aur bohot namkeen wale milte hain na, unhe avoid karo.

I keep a small box of roasted peanuts in my office bag for my 4 PM cravings. They have healthy fats and protein, so they keep you full without causing sugar spikes. Just keep the portion size to a small handful, don't mindlessly munch while working.

I have been managing diabetes for twenty years now. In my experience, a handful of dry roasted groundnuts is the safest evening snack with light tea. It never spiked my levels, just make sure you don't buy the salted or packaged ones.

As someone who checks his blood sugar twice a day, I can tell you peanuts are great but only in moderation. They have a good amount of calories and fats, so if you overeat them, it might affect your weight, which indirectly impacts insulin resistance. Stick to 25-30 grams a day.

My toddler kept me awake till 3 AM and now my brain is fried, but yes, peanuts are totally fine. In fact, they are a lifesaver when you need a quick snack that won't ruin your fasting sugar reports. Just don't eat the whole packet in one go like I almost did.

My doctor at PGIMER advised me that peanuts are excellent due to their low glycemic load and high fiber. However, he specifically warned against eating 'masala peanuts' or those coated with chickpea flour and deep-fried, as they are loaded with sodium and bad trans fats.

Haa bhai, hamare yahan to thand me sab moongfali khate hain. Sugar wale mareez ke liye roasted moongfali bahut acchi hai. Bass dhyan rakhna ki zada mat khana, thoda sa mutthi bhar kafi hai roz ke liye.

I was actually researching this for my grandmother yesterday. I found out that peanuts have magnesium which helps in managing blood sugar levels. They seem super healthy as long as they are plain and not fried in bad oils.
