Can diabetics eat nectarines?

My neighbour gave me some fresh nectarines from her garden. I have diabetes, so I'm always cautious about fruits with sugar. Can I eat nectarines, or are they too sweet for my condition?

Bilkul thoda sa kha sakte hain bhaiya, isme koi darne ki baat nahi hai. Mere ghar me bhi chacha ko sugar hai, wo dophar me ek aadha kha lete hain aur unhe koi dikkat nahi hoti. Bus thoda hisab se khayiye aur bhagwan sab theek rakhenge.

True, nectarines are actually fine in moderation. Just make sure to eat them raw with the skin on instead of juicing them so you get the fiber.

Nectarines have a decent amount of fiber, so they don't spike your sugar instantly like mangoes do. I have one almost every other day during summers and my fasting levels stay completely normal. Just watch your portion size and don't go overboard.

Haan, bilkul kha sakte hain par pure din me ek hi phal rakhiye. Agar aap nectarine kha rahe hain to us din dophar me chawal thoda kam kar dijiye. Isse aapka sugar balance rahega aur meetha khane ka mann bhi poora ho jayega.

I was actually reading about this yesterday! Nectarines have a low to medium glycemic index, so they are generally safe for diabetics. Still trying to figure out how many grams of carbs one medium fruit has, but most sites say one portion is totally fine.

Honestly, dont go by what people say on forums about fruits being completely safe. Every diabetic body reacts differently to natural sugars, so please ask your doctor or dietician. They can tell you exactly how it fits into your specific meal plan.

My dad has type 2 and he eats nectarines sometimes as an evening snack. He doesn't see any weird spikes as long as he avoids eating them right after a heavy lunch. Just have a small one and u should be good to go.

Nectarines are actually great yaar, they are packed with vitamins. I usually slice half a fruit and mix it with some plain dahi so it doesn't spike my sugar at all. Just don't buy the canned ones, they have loads of sweet syrup which is bad.

I get so scared trying new fruits because even minor spikes make me super anxious! But many people say nectarines are okay if you eat them with some almonds to slow down sugar absorption. Maybe check your glucose levels two hours after eating one just to be absolutely sure?

I can only tell you what works for me as a diabetic of ten years. I regularly enjoy a small nectarine as my mid-morning snack and my HbA1c remains stable around 6.5. I never eat them late in the evening though.
