Can diabetics eat cucumbers?

My doctor always emphasizes eating more vegetables. I often have cucumbers in my salad or as a snack. Are cucumbers particularly good for diabetics, or just generally healthy?

Cucumbers are amazing for diabetics. They have almost zero carbs, tons of water, and help with hydration. I eat two of them daily with my pre-workout meals to stay full without any sugar spikes.

Haan yaar, kheera to bilkul best option hai. No tension at all! You can eat as much as you want, especially in summers. It has low GI, toh koi sugar spike ka darr nahi hai na.

Cucumbers are a blessing for us. Whenever I feel hungry between lunch and dinner, I eat cucumber slices with a pinch of black pepper and lemon. It keeps the stomach cool and never increases blood sugar.

I was researching about low glycemic index foods for my aunt, and cucumbers are right at the top of the safe list. They are mostly water and fiber, which is highly recommended for diabetes management.

Yes, cucumber is extremely safe for diabetics. I eat it before my main meals to add fiber, which actually helps in slowing down the absorption of carbs from my roti or rice.

My teenager was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, and getting him to eat healthy was hard. I cut cucumbers into funny shapes and serve them with a little mint curd dip. It's safe, healthy, and doesn't affect his readings at all.
