Can diabetics eat crackers?

I sometimes feel hungry between meals and reach for crackers. Since my diabetes diagnosis, I'm worried about what snacks are safe. Are crackers a good option for diabetics?

Honestly, you have to be very careful with crackers. Most of them are made of maida and cause sudden spikes in my sugar readings. I always check the label for fiber and only buy whole wheat or ragi ones if my levels are stable.

Please do not take this lightly. I used to ignore these small snacks, but bad habits led to severe diabetic neuropathy for me. Better to get your HbA1c checked and ask your doctor if crackers fit your diet plan.

Everything in moderation is fine, dear. Just keep a happy mind, don't stress too much about food, and take care of your beautiful body. Small portions of baked multi-grain crackers with some homemade dahi should be perfectly fine.

Beta, market waale crackers are full of salt and soda. Instead of those, you can dry roast some makhana or make baked methi muthia at home. It is much safer for health and keeps your stomach full too.

Yeah, we can eat them but strictly in small quantities. Stick to sugar-free and high-fiber ones.

Actually, my doctor explained that crackers are high GI because of refined carbs, which spike glucose fast. He advised pairing them with peanut butter or cheese to slow down digestion. Always check the sodium content too.
