Can diabetics eat coleslaw?

We often order in from a multi-cuisine restaurant, and my kids love coleslaw. I was wondering if it's something I can eat too, or if the dressing makes it unsuitable for diabetics.

Coleslaw from restaurants is packed with sugar and heavy mayo, which is bad for diabetics. If you're busy like me, just toss shredded cabbage and carrots with greek yogurt, salt, and pepper at home. Takes 5 minutes and is completely safe.

Ah, coleslaw! It sounds healthy because of the cabbage, but that mayo dressing is a sugar trap. At my age, I've realized if a salad tastes too good, there is definitely hidden sugar in it. Better to stick to simple home salads.

I had a massive sugar spike last month after eating a tiny cup of restaurant coleslaw. I realized they add sweet condensed milk or sugar to the dressing. Now I make my own version using curd and a little mustard, and it keeps my sugar stable.

I agree, ready-made coleslaw has too much hidden sugar. Always make a simple sugar-free version at home if you crave it.

Beta, in my 30 years with diabetes, I have learned that simple food is best. These modern salads like coleslaw often carry hidden dangers in their sweet sauces. Stick to our traditional cucumber and tomato salad with a squeeze of lime.

Honestly, I ate coleslaw at a burger joint once and my sugar shot up like crazy. They put a lot of sugar in that mayo dressing. Now I just avoid it completely when eating out. Safe to stick to normal green salads.

My mom has diabetes and she strictly avoids store-bought coleslaw because of the sugar in the cream. But we tried making it at home with low-fat curd and it was actually pretty good. Super easy to make too!

Actually yaar, coleslaw is super tricky. The cabbage part is fine, but the ready-made dressing has so many calories and hidden sugars. Better to make it at home using dahi instead of mayo so you don't mess up your levels.

Dekho, restaurant coleslaw is basically sugar cream with some cabbage. Don't eat that. If you want cabbage, make a simple home-made stir fry or dry salad with lemon juice. Keep your diet simple and clean.

Listen, cabbage and carrots are great for your health, but the sugar in commercial coleslaw dressing is not. Just make a quick hung-curd dressing at home instead. It's much safer for your blood sugar levels, trust me.

Vegetable salads are highly recommended, but coleslaw is an exception due to the sweet mayonnaise. If you really want it, prepare it with unflavored vegan mayo or hung curd, and strictly avoid adding any honey or sugar to the mix.

A raw cabbage salad with lemon and green chillies is a wonderful home remedy for managing hunger and sugar. Commercial coleslaw is loaded with unhealthy fats and sugar. If you experience sudden fatigue or high sugar spikes, consult your doctor.
