Can diabetics eat chickpeas?

My family loves chana masala and other dishes with chickpeas. Since my husband was diagnosed with diabetes, I'm reconsidering some of our regular meals. Are chickpeas a good option, or can diabetics eat chickpeas in moderation?

Yes, absolutely. I eat boiled chana almost every evening as a snack. It's high in protein and keeps my blood sugar perfectly stable.

Don't just believe people online saying chickpeas cure diabetes. While they are a good source of fiber, you still need to monitor your portion size and consult your doctor to see how they fit into your daily diet.

I was researching healthy lunch options for my dad, and chickpeas seem to be one of the best options because of the complex carbs. Will definitely try making some chana salad for him.

Yes, chickpeas are highly recommended for diabetics because of their low glycemic index and high fiber.

In our times, we ate a lot of black chana and kabuli chana, and none of us had these sugar issues. Trust these traditional foods; boiled chickpeas with a bit of onion and tomato are wonderful for your health.
