Can diabetics eat cantaloupe?

My doctor told me to be mindful of fruit portions, but I'm not sure about all fruits. Cantaloupe is a common fruit here. Is it considered safe for diabetics to eat cantaloupe?

I track all my meals on my app and cantaloupe (kharbuja) is actually decent. It has a glycemic load of around 4, which is quite low because of the high water and fiber content. Just log your portion size and stick to around 100 grams.

I am not a doctor, but I have been eating a small bowl of cantaloupe in the mornings during summers. It has never caused any major spikes in my daily sugar readings, but I always make sure not to pair it with other sweet foods.

The doctors at my hospital always emphasize that individual responses to fruits can vary. While cantaloupe is generally safe in small portions, you should definitely ask your diabetologist how much you can personally incorporate into your diet chart.

Kharbuja toh garmi ke mausam mein bahut badhiya lagta hai. Hamare pitaji bhi thoda sa khate hain aur unhe koi pareshani nahi hoti. Bas dhyan rahe ki ek baari mein bahut saara mat khaiyega.

Cantaloupe is a great, quick option when you want something refreshing but low-effort. It's low in calories and safe for diabetics in moderation. Just avoid buying pre-cut ones from roadside stalls to keep it hygienic.
