Can diabetics drink prune juice?

I've been having some digestion issues lately, and someone recommended prune juice for regularity. Since I have diabetes, I wanted to check if it's safe to consume. Is it high in sugar?

Beta, prune juice has a lot of natural concentrated sugar which can disturb your diabetes. For constipation, instead of sweet juices, it is much safer to eat a small cup of papaya or swallow a spoonful of isabgol with warm water at night.

Honestly, prune juice is loaded with sugar and will likely spike your levels. It is best to avoid it.

I completely understand how difficult digestion issues can be when you have diabetes. I tried prune juice once for my husband and his sugar shot up to 250. Now we just stick to high-fiber oats and warm water, which is much safer and works just as well.

I deal with both thyroid and fluctuating sugar levels, so I have to be extremely careful. Prune juice is very high in carbs, so it's not ideal. Make sure you get your HbA1c and thyroid tests done regularly and follow up with your doctor before trying such juices for digestion.

At this age, my body behaves like a drama queen with every little thing I eat. Prune juice might help your bowel movements, but it will definitely send your sugar monitor into overdrive. Better to choose boring old salad instead!

Skip the prune juice completely. It has a high glycemic load because of the concentrated sugars. If you need fiber, just eat whole prunes in very limited quantities, or stick to green leafy vegetables which don't mess with your glucose levels.

Prune juice contains a natural laxative called sorbitol, but it also packs a massive carb punch. If you are diabetic, I'd suggest skipping the juice and asking your doctor for a gentle, sugar-free fiber supplement to help with your digestion safely.

I have been managing type 2 diabetes for 5 years and I keep a strict watch on my diet. Prune juice is a absolute no for me because of the high glycemic index. If you need help with constipation, talk to your doctor about sugar-free laxatives instead.

I panicked when my father drank a glass of prune juice and his sugar went up slightly. But we checked with the doctor, and she said occasional small amounts are fine if managed well, though eating whole prunes is always a safer, more predictable option.

I get so anxious reading food labels. Prune juice seems like it has so much sugar, what if it causes a huge spike? Maybe try checking your sugar before and two hours after having just a tiny sip to see if your body can handle it, just to be safe.

Hamare yahan toh log digestion ke liye garam paani aur thoda sa ajwain lete hain. Prune juice toh bohot meetha hota hai, sugar wale bimar logon ko isse bachna chahiye. Apna dhyan rakho beta.

With PCOS and insulin resistance, I avoid dried fruit juices like prune juice entirely. They are packed with fast-digesting sugars. It is better to use safer alternatives like chia seeds soaked in water or some flax seeds for fiber.
