Can diabetics drink 2 milk?

My doctor told me to cut down on sugar for my new diabetes diagnosis. I'm wondering about regular milk. Is it okay for diabetics to drink full-fat milk, or should I switch to something else?

Yes, diabetics can absolutely have 2% milk. Just keep an eye on the portion size because milk still has natural sugars (lactose) that can add up if you drink too much.

Don't just believe people on the internet saying dairy is good or bad. Milk affects everyone's sugar differently, so check your readings after drinking it and ask your doctor if it fits your diet plan.

Yes, 2% fat milk is completely fine for diabetics in moderation. It is actually a good source of calcium.

Yes, you can have it. Having a small cup of 2% milk is generally safe and won't cause big spikes. Take care.

I used to drink a big glass of milk every night and my fasting sugar shot up significantly. Please consult your physician or dietician before making dairy a regular part of your night routine.
