Can diabetics consume stevia?

My doctor suggested I reduce my sugar intake significantly because of my diabetes. I'm exploring natural sweeteners, and stevia often comes up. Can diabetics consume stevia as a sugar substitute, and is it truly safe for regular use?

Yes, stevia has a glycemic index of zero and doesn't affect blood glucose levels. I use a few drops of liquid stevia in my black coffee and my tracker shows absolutely no spike. Just make sure to check with your doctor first.

My mom uses stevia pellets in her morning tea instead of normal sugar. It tastes slightly different at first, almost like a herbal aftertaste, but you get used to it. Her doctor said it's a safe option for her.

My elder sister recommended stevia leaves since it is a natural plant. However, we still consulted our family doctor before making it a daily habit to ensure it doesn't cause any digestive issues.

Yes, stevia is quite safe. Just look for 100% pure stevia extract without added erythritol or dextrose.

In our younger days we didn't have these fancy powders, but stevia is made from meethi tulsi leaves which is natural. You can use it in small quantities, but remember that reducing overall sweet cravings is the real cure.

I totally get it, giving up sweet chai is the hardest part of having diabetes. Stevia is a life-saver for that craving because it doesn't raise sugar. Give it a try, but do discuss it with your physician.

My teenage daughter has diabetes and misses sweets a lot, so I use pure stevia powder to bake healthy muffins for her occasionally. It has worked well for us, but please ask your doctor before giving it to children.

My father started using stevia drops in his lemon water recently and he is really happy with it. It didn't affect his HbA1c levels at all during his last checkup. Definitely ask your doctor about the right dosage for you.

Honestly, stevia is a blessing when you want to drink kheer or sweet tea without feeling guilty! Some brands have a weird bitter aftertaste, so you might have to try a few to find the one you like. Just get a doctor's go-ahead.

My doctor told me that high-purity steviol glycosides are safe and approved by the FDA for diabetics. However, many commercial stevia packets contain bulkers like maltodextrin which can actually spike blood sugar. Always read the label and consult your physician.

I am too exhausted to look up scientific papers, but I've been using stevia in my green tea for months and my sugar levels are absolutely fine. Just check with your doctor before you buy a whole box.

Stevia is a non-nutritive sweetener, meaning it has no calories and won't affect insulin levels. It's a highly recommended option for diabetic patients, but always check the ingredients list for hidden fillers. Ask your doctor for the safest brand.

Sugar control karna bohot mushkil hota hai, ho na? Stevia use karne se chai ka swad thoda badal jata hai par sugar nahi badhti. Apne doctor se salaah le kar isko try kijiye.

I am looking for a sugar substitute for my father who was diagnosed last week. Is stevia completely safe to use daily, or are there any side effects we should watch out for? Please guide me.

Stevia toh ek paudhe se banta hai toh ye bazaar ki dawayon se behtar hi hai. Par dhyan rakhein agar pet me dard ya gas ki samasya ho toh ise band kar dein. Kisi bhi bade badlaav se pehle doctor se zaroor poonchein.
