Can diabetics be drafted?

My dream was always to join the armed forces, but I was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes a few years back. Now I'm wondering if this means my dream is over. Can diabetics be drafted into military service in India, or does it disqualify them?

Since I manage my type 1 diabetes daily, I know how strict the medical requirements are. In India, any form of diabetes requiring regular medication or insulin makes you medically unfit for military service. It's too risky on the field.

Can you imagine a soldier asking the enemy for a 10-minute break because their sugar levels dropped? Jokes apart, diabetes is a direct medical disqualification in the military. Better to serve the country in other cool ways!

Fauj ki naukri me bohot kathin parishram hota hai, aur sugar ke mareezon ko samay par khana aur dawayi chahiye hoti hai. Isliye unko wahan nahi liya jata. Agar aapko kamzori lagti hai toh pehle doctor ko dikhayein.

Don't worry about military draft or service if you have diabetes. Armed forces require extremely high physical fitness and sudden changes in diet can be dangerous for you. Focus on your health first and consult your doctor for your routine.

Military life has highly unpredictable eating schedules and physical stress, which is very hard for someone who needs to maintain a strict diet. That is why diabetic patients are usually disqualified from active combat duties. Please check official guidelines.

Generally, armed forces do not recruit individuals with diabetes due to safety reasons. Managing medications in extreme conditions is very difficult. Take good care of your health and stay well.

I was checking the eligibility criteria for the Indian Army last year. They have very strict medical tests, and chronic conditions like diabetes are a straight rejection because managing sugar during training is almost impossible.
