Can diabetic person eat dates?

I like to have dates sometimes, especially after meals, but my doctor warned me about sugary foods because of my diabetes. So, I am confused. Can a diabetic person eat dates, or are they completely off-limits for sugar control?

Khajur thode meethe hote hain, ho na? Mera bhai kabhi-kabhi sweet craving ke liye ek khajur kha leta hai, par roz nahi khata. Aap apne doctor se pooch lo ki unki reports ke hisab se kitna safe hai.

Dates are natures candy, which also means they have the power to send your sugar levels on a rocket mission! Eating one occasionally won't make you a villain, but don't eat them like peanuts. Consult your doc!

My grandmother always says dates are full of iron and very healthy, but for my diabetic uncle, the doctor advised strict limits. Just because it is a natural dry fruit doesn't mean it won't raise blood sugar. Best to consult your doctor.

Imported dates are quite expensive anyway, and the medical tests to fix a sugar spike are even more costly! I prefer sticking to simple fiber-rich foods that keep my budget and my diabetes under control. Talk to your doctor to plan wisely.

Please don't stress over this. You can occasionally have a single date if your fasting and post-prandial levels are well managed, but avoid regular consumption. Keep an eye on your reports and always ask your doctor.
