Can diabetic leg ulcers be cured?

My grandmother has had a diabetic leg ulcer for months, and it's not healing despite all the dressings and medicines. It's really affecting her quality of life. Can diabetic leg ulcers be completely cured, or is it something that will keep coming back?

I know how exhausting and emotionally draining it is to deal with a non-healing ulcer, I literally cried every time we changed the dressing. But please don't lose heart, they can absolutely be cured with patience, proper medical dressings, and absolute sugar control. You are not alone in this.

Yes, they can heal, but along with local dressing, your body needs building blocks like protein to repair the skin. Try to include a lot of paneer, sprouts, and high-protein dal in your daily vegetarian diet. Also, strictly avoid refined flour and sugar as they prevent healing.

Please don't ignore even a tiny red spot or scratch on your foot. I once ignored a minor shoe bite, and it turned into a deep ulcer that required months of specialized wound care. Go get a proper diabetic foot checkup immediately before it worsens.

Yes, with proper care and the right medicine, the body has a beautiful way of healing itself. Keep your mind positive, do your daily prayers, eat simple food, and trust your doctors. Have faith, this difficult phase will also pass.

Dekho, ulcer theek ho jayega par sabse pehle sugar control me lao. Agar sugar high rahegi toh koi bhi cream ya dressing kaam nahi karegi. Dr. se milkar insulin dose settings check karvao aur pair par pressure mat dalo.

Haan babu, bilkul theek ho jata hai hamare padosi ka bhi hua tha. Bas unhone daktar babu ki baat mani, roz patti karwayi aur meetha khana bilkul band kar diya. Aap bilkul chinta mat kijiye, jaldi aaram milega.

They can definitely be cured, but you have to do two simple things practically: never walk barefoot, even inside the house, and get your sugar levels below 140. Use proper diabetic socks and get the dressing done at a local clinic daily instead of trying random ointments at home.
