Can diabetic drink low fat milk?

My doctor told me to switch to low-fat options because of my diabetes and cholesterol. I usually have a glass of milk daily. Is it okay for someone with diabetes like me to drink low-fat milk regularly, or should I avoid dairy completely?

Haan, low-fat milk pina bilkul safe hai, bas sugar mat dalna usme. Normal toned or double toned milk use karo jo market me milta hai. Rat ko ek chota glass haldi dalkar piyo, sehat ke liye bohot badhiya hai.

Yes, diabetics can drink low-fat milk in moderation as it has a lower glycemic index and fewer calories than whole milk.

I have thyroid and my husband is diabetic, and we both switched to low-fat milk to keep our weight and cholesterol in check. Milk still has lactose, which is a sugar, so don't drink too much of it. Keep doing your regular HbA1c and lipid profile tests and discuss with your doctor.

I was so confused about milk when I was first diagnosed, as some people said dairy spikes sugar and others said it is completely fine. Do you guys drink it daily, or only sometimes? I get very anxious about morning spikes if I have milk at night.

Why buy expensive skimmed milk from the market? Just boil your regular milk, let it cool in the fridge, and remove the thick layer of cream (malai) from the top twice. Your perfect low-fat milk is ready at home without any extra cost.
