Can diabetes make you feel off balance?

Sometimes I feel quite unsteady on my feet, almost like I'm losing my balance. My mother has diabetes complications, and she said it could be related to my diabetes. Is feeling off-balance common with this condition?

At this age, keeping balance is already a challenge, and then diabetes adds its own drama! High sugar can affect your nerves and inner ear, making you wobble like a spinning top. Get your levels checked before you trip on nothing.

Haan na, it feels very weird when you suddenly feel unsteady while walking. It's usually because of sugar fluctuations affecting your nerves. Please take care and consult your doctor to adjust your medicine, ho na?

Yes, diabetic neuropathy can affect your feet and make you feel off balance. Doing light ankle exercises and walking daily can really help improve your stability, but definitely ask your doctor before starting any physical routine.

My physician explained that chronic high glucose levels can damage the sensory nerves in your feet, a condition called peripheral neuropathy. This directly impacts your brain's ability to sense your position, causing that off-balance feeling. Please consult a specialist.

Honestly, between my midnight sugar checks and crying baby, my balance is completely gone anyway! But yes, high or low sugars can definitely make your head spin and make you feel unsteady. Go get some rest and check your levels.
