Can diabetes go into remission?

My doctor said with strict diet and exercise, my pre-diabetes could reverse. Does this mean diabetes itself can go into remission for some people? What does that even mean?

Yeah bro, it definitely can. My dad brought his HbA1c down from 8.2 to 5.6 just by cutting carbs and doing regular evening walks. He doesn't take meds now, but he still checks his levels every month.

With PCOS and insulin resistance, I know how hard it is to bring levels down. Remission is possible for Type 2, but we shouldn't get overconfident and start eating junk again, because it can slip back very easily.

Don't stress too much about the word 'diabetes'. Many people have put it into remission successfully by making simple lifestyle corrections. Just follow your doctor's path step by step, you will manage this beautifully.

Simple baat hai, agar tum apna weight control karoge aur dhang ka khana khaoge, toh sugar normal ho jayegi. Isko hi remission bolte hain. Par laziness chalu ki toh sugar fir wapas badh jayegi, dhyan rakhna.

I've been looking up clinical trials on Type 2 diabetes reversal. It seems keeping a healthy weight and staying physically active can help maintain non-diabetic sugar levels for years. It's basically like pausing the disease.
