Can diabetes eat pumpkin?

We've been cooking a lot of pumpkin lately, and I was diagnosed with diabetes recently. Is pumpkin generally considered a good vegetable for diabetics to include in their diet?

Honestly, pumpkin is pretty great for health. My dad has diabetes and we make simple pumpkin sabzi at home quite often. It's high in fiber so it doesn't cause crazy sugar spikes if cooked without sugar.

Pumpkin is perfectly fine in moderate quantities. It does have a medium glycemic index, but the glycemic load is actually quite low. Just don't overdo the portion size on busy weekdays when you can't walk it off.

Haan bhaiya, kaddu toh bohot badiya sabzi hai. Isme paani aur fiber khoob hota hai jo pet ko thanda rakhta hai. Bas banaate samay isme chini ya gur mat dalna, bilkul saadha hi khana.

The clinical dietician at Ruby Hall Clinic advised me that pumpkin is beneficial because of its antioxidant properties, but we should measure the carb content in our meals. I highly suggest consulting your doctor for a customized diet.

Portion control rakho, aur ise roti ke sath limited quantity me khao. Simple as that.
