Can diabetes cause pain in the legs?

My legs have been aching constantly, especially my calves and feet, and sometimes I feel a tingling sensation too. I've been a diabetic for a long time. Is it common for diabetes to cause this kind of persistent pain in the legs?

Haan bhai, diabetes me pairon me dard hona bahut aam baat hai. Mere chacha ko bhi yahi taklif thi aur unka chalna mushkil ho gaya tha. Aap jaldi se doctor babu ko dikhao aur apna sugar check karwao, sab theek ho jayega.

Leg pain can happen because of poor circulation or high sugar levels. For me, eating a balanced vegetarian diet with less refined carbs and adding soaked almonds daily helped a lot with general weakness. But please consult your doctor before making any major changes or taking supplements.

I was actually reading about this yesterday because my dad complains of leg cramps. Apparently, high blood sugar over a long time can damage the nerves in your legs, which is called neuropathy. It sounds scary so we have booked a doctor appointment for this weekend to be safe.

My father is also experiencing this kind of burning leg pain recently and we are quite worried. Does anyone know if this pain is worse during the night? We are planning to visit the family doctor tomorrow to understand what to do.

It definitely can cause pain because of poor blood flow or nerve issues. Once your doctor clears you, try to incorporate a gentle 20-minute daily walk. Keeping active really helps improve blood circulation in the legs, but don't overdo it if the pain is too severe.

Yes, high sugar does cause leg pain and stiffness. Massage with warm mustard oil at night can give some relief, but if the pain is constant or feels like burning, please don't sit at home. Go to a hospital and get a proper diagnosis done.

Oh god, those midnight leg cramps are the reason I haven't slept properly in weeks! Diabetes can absolutely make your legs ache like you ran a marathon in your sleep. Better get your HbA1c checked so you can finally sleep in peace.

Leg pain is very common with diabetes, but you don't need to spend on expensive treatments initially. Just focus on keeping your sugar levels strictly under control and wear comfortable, soft footwear even inside the house. Get a simple blood checkup done at your local lab first.

I see many people asking about leg pain here. Yes, diabetes causes nerve damage and poor circulation, which leads to this pain or tingling. Please make sure to check your feet daily for any small cuts or blisters, and consult your physician for proper nerve-health supplements.

Leg pain in diabetic patients should never be ignored as it can lead to serious complications like diabetic neuropathy or foot ulcers. Please do not rely on home massage or random advice. Book a consultation with your doctor immediately to get your nerves and circulation tested.
