Can diabetes cause leg cramps at night?

Almost every night, I wake up with severe cramps in my legs, especially my calves. It's very disruptive to my sleep. I've been diabetic for about 15 years, and I'm trying to figure out if these leg cramps are a known complication of diabetes.

I used to wake up crying with severe calf pain and thought something was seriously wrong with my legs. But once my doctor adjusted my diabetes meds, the cramps stopped. Don't worry, it's very manageable.

Yes, leg cramps at night are quite common if you have diabetes, mostly due to poor circulation or nerve strain. I barely have time due to work, so I keep a hot water bag ready, but definitely consult your doctor.

I get these horrible leg cramps every night and it keeps me awake for hours. Is anyone else with diabetes facing this same issue? Please let me know what your doctor suggested for relief.

Bhai, raat ka dard mazaak nahi hai. Sugar badhne se nason par asar hota hai jisse cramps aate hain. Udhar-udhar mat bhatko, seedhe doctor ke paas jao aur apna sugar level check karwao.

Nerve checks aur diabetes tests ka kharch badh jata hai, isliye kisi package me test karwayein toh sasta padega. Leg cramps ko ignore mat kijiye, par planning ke sath checkup karwayein.

Yes, nighttime leg cramps are heavily linked to diabetes. Make sure to stay hydrated and ask your doctor about calcium or magnesium checks.
