Can diabetes cause irregular periods?

My periods have become very irregular over the last six months, sometimes missing, sometimes coming too early. I'm a Type 1 diabetic, and my friend mentioned that blood sugar issues might affect menstrual cycles. Can diabetes actually cause irregular periods?

Our grandmother says to drink sesame seed mix for periods, but diabetes affects your hormones heavily. It is very important to see a gynecologist along with your sugar doctor to balance everything properly.

Yahan pehle hi neend poori nahi hoti aur upar se periods ka dabba gol! Diabetes aur periods ka bada ajeeb rishta hai, dono milkar dimag kharab karte hain. Gynaecologist se consult kar lo behan, wahi bachayengi.

Thodi haldi aur dalchini ka pani peene se harmone thik rehte hain, par jab sugar bohot zyada ho toh periods ruk bhi sakte hain. Is mamle me bade doctor ki salah lena hi samajhdari hai, laparvahi mat karo.

I go to Apollo Hospital for my checkups, and my doctor clearly told me that insulin resistance blocks ovulation, causing irregular periods. Please book an appointment with a specialist instead of waiting.

Oh, my sweet tooth always gets me in trouble! High insulin because of all those desserts completely messes with our cycle. Need to cut back on late-night cravings and get a doctor to check our levels.
