Can diabetes cause fatigue?

A year ago, I was diagnosed with diabetes, and even though my blood sugar is managed, I feel constantly tired and exhausted. It's impacting my daily activities. Is this fatigue a common symptom or complication that comes with diabetes?

Honestly, yes. My dad has diabetes and there are days he just feels completely drained out of nowhere. It's because the body cells aren't getting glucose properly. Just get a quick checkup done to see where your levels are at.

Fatigue is very common when your blood sugar fluctuates too much. If your doctor permits, try going for a light 20-minute walk daily as it really helps stabilize insulin and boosts your energy. Keep hydrated and check your glucose levels regularly.

I totally get it, that heavy, bone-tired feeling is so frustrating when you just want to get through your day. When blood sugar is too high or too low, your body's energy production drops. Please rest well and consult your doctor to adjust your routine.

I am already running on 3 hours of sleep, but if you have diabetes, that fatigue is on a whole different level! Your body is literally struggling to process energy, so of course you feel like a zombie. Definitely get your HbA1c checked to see if that's the culprit.

I have thyroid issues and fatigue is my daily companion, but diabetes can cause the exact same extreme tiredness. Make sure you get your thyroid and blood sugar levels tested regularly. Do follow up with your doctor to find the exact balance.

I was feeling so exhausted that I could barely stand up, and it turned out my sugar was touching 300. After getting my medicine adjusted and changing my diet, my energy is finally back to normal. Please get your blood tested, it makes a huge difference.
