Can diabetes cause back pain?

Diabetes for about five years now, and for the past few months, I've been suffering from persistent lower back pain that doesn't seem to get better. My friend suggested it could be related to my diabetes. Is it true, can diabetes actually cause back pain?

Yes, it can. Uncontrolled diabetes can lead to diabetic neuropathy, which causes burning or aching pain, including in the lower back. Please get your nerves and blood sugar levels checked by a doctor before the damage increases.

Haan, bilkul link ho sakta hai. High sugar se muscles me numbness aur pain hone lagta hai na. Isliye sugar control rakhna bohot zaroori hai, varna back pain aur thakwan badhti hi jayegi.

I don't know the exact medical science, but when my sugars were very high, my lower back and legs used to ache constantly. Once my doctor adjusted my medication and my sugar came down, that constant dull ache disappeared.

Agree with this. High blood sugar can cause inflammation in the joints, so keeping your HbA1c in check is key to reducing body aches.

Diabetes can cause poor circulation and muscle weakness, leading to back pain. If your doctor allows, try doing some gentle core strengthening exercises or a daily brisk walk to help support your spine and manage your glucose levels.

Managing both high BP and diabetes has taught me that poor blood flow affects your muscle health, causing back aches. Keep an eye on your posture, stay active, and make sure to get regular doctor checkups for nerve health.
