Can dehydration cause testicular pain?

I've been experiencing some intermittent discomfort in my testicles lately. I realized I haven't been drinking much water as I've been super busy. Could not drinking enough water potentially lead to testicular pain?

I was a bit hesitant to ask this, but I have been experiencing a mild ache down there and I realized I haven't been drinking much water lately due to my exam stress. Can dehydration really cause muscle-like cramps in that area? Has anyone else felt this?

Yes, dehydration can cause general muscle cramping and lower abdominal pressure that easily radiates down to the groin area.

Actually yaar, when you are dehydrated, your body can get muscle spasms in the groin region, which feels like testicular pain. But honestly, if the pain is sudden and super sharp, don't sit around waiting, just get it checked by a doctor.

Dehydration can lead to concentrated urine, which sometimes causes a mild burning or referred aching in the scrotum. While keeping up with your fluid intake is important, any persistent pain in that area warrants a physical examination by a urologist to rule out infections.

Even though dehydration can cause muscle cramps in the pelvic region, testicular pain is nothing to play around with. It could be a hernia or an infection. For your own peace of mind, please visit a clinic and get a doctor to check it properly.

Before you spend a lot of money on expensive ultrasounds and specialist consultations, try drinking 3 liters of water for two days to see if the cramp resolves. However, keep some money aside for a basic doctor visit if the pain does not go away, as you shouldn't ignore groin pain.

I started feeling this dull ache yesterday after a long run without drinking water and I am honestly very anxious about it. Did drinking water make the pain go away for you guys, or did you have to take some medication? Please let me know.

I completely understand how terrifying it is when you feel pain in such a sensitive area, your mind immediately goes to the worst scenario. I had the same issue and it turned out to be simple muscle tension from dehydration. Try to drink some water, take deep breaths, and see if it eases.
