Can dehydration cause fever and chills?

After a long day out in the sun, I suddenly started feeling very cold and shivery, almost like I was running a fever, but my head feels clear. I also realised I barely drank any water. Is it possible for dehydration to cause both feverish feelings and chills?

Haan bhai, jab sharir mein paani kam ho jata hai toh thand lagna aur bukhar jaisa lagna bohot aam baat hai. Aap thoda sa namak aur cheeni ka ghol pi lijiye aur aaram kijiye. Sab theek ho jayega, chinta mat karo.

I literally went through this last month when I forgot to drink water during a long road trip. I started shivering and felt so feverish, but it went away once I drank two bottles of electoral water. Just try hydrating first, but see a doctor if it doesn't get better.

Between my night shifts and barely drinking water, my body gave up last week with crazy chills and a warm forehead. Turns out I was just severely dehydrated and running on coffee. Please drink some actual water and sleep, your body is crying for it.

Bro, honestly yes. During sports day I barely drank water and by evening I was shivering under my blanket with a mild temp. Just chug some glucose water or ORS and rest, u will feel better soon.

Yes, lack of water completely halts your body's temperature regulation, leading to fever-like feelings and chills. Sip on some warm water with a bit of ginger, or drink coconut water. However, if your fever is very high or you have chest pain, please visit a clinic immediately.
