Can crystal light cause kidney stones?

I'm trying to cut down on sugary drinks and have switched to Crystal Light for my evening beverage. My doctor told me to watch out for kidney stones as I'm prone to them. Can Crystal Light actually contribute to kidney stone formation?

I love my sweet drinks, but Crystal Light has a lot of artificial stuff and some formulations have oxalates or sodium which can contribute to stones if you drink it like water. Balance it out with actual plain water, guys, your kidneys will thank you!

Why drink all these chemical powders when we have fresh lemon water and coconut water in India? If you have kidney pain or burning, stop these artificial drinks immediately and drink plenty of plain water, but do see a doctor if the pain is severe.

Oh no, I’ve been drinking Crystal Light daily to avoid sugar, and now I'm terrified of getting kidney stones. Has anyone here actually developed stones after using these powder mixes regularly?

Hey, don't stress too much about it! An occasional glass of Crystal Light isn't going to suddenly give you stones, but just don't replace your regular water intake with it. Keep yourself hydrated with plain old water and you'll be absolutely fine, buddy.

Haan yaar, chemical wali cheezein zyada lene se kidney pe load toh padta hi hai na. Some of these artificial powders have high sodium or calcium content which can trigger stones if you are already prone to them. Better to consult a doctor if you feel any back pain.
