Can crohn's cause kidney problems?

My brother has Crohn's disease and has been having some health complications lately. The doctor mentioned he needs to get his kidneys checked. We were wondering if Crohn's disease can directly cause kidney problems, or if it's unrelated.

Ho na, Crohn's can affect other organs also if we are not careful. Because of continuous loose motions, body gets dehydrated very quickly, which is bad for kidneys. Please drink enough water and check with your doctor soon, haan?

Yes, chronic dehydration from Crohn's can put a lot of pressure on your kidneys and even cause painful stones. While you must follow your doctor's treatment, drinking barley water or fresh buttermilk daily can help keep your body hydrated and flush out toxins naturally.

Dekho, let's be real. Crohn's causes inflammation and can lead to kidney stones or even protein in urine if neglected. Don't ignore back pain or changes in your urine color. Go straight to your doctor and get a proper kidney function test done.

As if running to the bathroom twenty times a day wasn't enough, now we have to worry about kidney stones too? Honestly, keeping up with water intake while dealing with Crohn's is a full-time job. Please get checked by a doctor before you end up awake at 3 AM like me, googling symptoms in a panic.

I completely panicked when my kidney function tests came back slightly off during my flare-up, thinking my kidneys were failing. But my specialist explained it was just mild dehydration from the chronic diarrhea. Once we managed the fluids, everything went back to normal, so don't lose sleep over it.

In my fifty years of dealing with various health issues, I've learned that a troubled gut impacts the entire system, including the urinary tract. Keep your salt intake balanced and never miss your routine blood tests. Regular checkups are the only way to catch these things early.
