Can creatine cause elevated liver enzymes?

My doctor did some routine blood tests and mentioned my liver enzymes were slightly elevated, though he couldn't pinpoint the exact reason. I'm also taking creatine for my fitness regimen. Could this supplement be the cause for the elevated liver enzymes?

Listen boss, creatine is processed mostly by your kidneys and muscles, not your liver. If your liver enzymes are high, look at other things like your alcohol intake, heavy protein powders, or other medications you might be taking. Get a proper LFT done and show it to a doctor instead of guessing.

I am actually quite new to fitness and thinking of starting creatine soon. I was also a bit scared reading about liver enzymes online. Does anyone know if we need to do a liver test before starting it, or is it generally safe for young women?

Bro, I have been using creatine for 6 months now and got my bloodwork done last month for a college sports meet. My liver enzymes were completely normal. Just buy from a trusted brand so u don't end up taking adulterated stuff, rest is chill.

Not really! Creatine is super safe for the liver in healthy individuals. Just keep your hydration levels high and stick to the 3-5 gram daily dose. Everything will be absolutely fine, don't worry too much! 😊

Actually creatine liver levels ko touch nahi karta yaar. Sometimes intense gym workouts can also temporarily raise some blood markers, which people mistake for liver damage. Just drink plenty of water and you are good to go, chill maro.
