Can covid give you asthma?

After recovering from Covid last year, I've found myself getting unusually breathless and wheezing sometimes, especially when I exert myself. I never had any breathing issues before. Could my Covid infection have potentially caused me to develop asthma?

Our bodies go through a lot, and post-covid weakness is very real. Just stay positive, do light breathing exercises or pranayama in the morning, and give your lungs some time to heal. Take care, everything will be fine with time.

Honestly, don't read too much on Google and panic. Everyone on the internet has a different story, which will only scare you. Better to go to a pulmonologist and get a proper spirometry test done to know what is actually going on.

Even I am wondering the same thing. Ever since I got covid last year, my chest feels so tight and I get breathless very easily while climbing stairs. Did anyone else get diagnosed with proper asthma after having the virus? It's really making me anxious.

I had severe lung congestion during covid and ended up with chronic bronchitis issues later. Please don't ignore any breathing trouble or wheezing. Go see a chest specialist immediately before it gets worse or permanent.

Look, covid definitely messes up the lungs and can trigger asthma-like symptoms or make hidden asthma show up. Instead of sitting and stressing, just go to a clinic and get your chest checked. Safe side pe rehna hamesha better hai.
