Can covid cause vertigo and vomiting?

My aunt recently had Covid, and she's been struggling with severe vertigo and episodes of vomiting ever since. These symptoms weren't present before her infection. We're trying to understand if Covid can actually cause both vertigo and vomiting as part of its effects.

Yes, Covid can affect the inner ear, leading to severe vertigo and vomiting. My brother had this and needed specific vestibular suppressants. Please see an ENT specialist or physician immediately to prevent severe dehydration.

It definitely can, as viral infections mess with our inner ear balance and trigger nausea. Since I manage thyroid issues, I know how easily body balance can go off-track. Please get proper clinical tests and follow up closely with your doctor.

Yes, viral fevers have always had the power to cause spinning head and sickness. When I had it, I kept my eyes closed, avoided bright screens, and drank warm liquids slowly. It gets better with rest.

Haan na, the dizziness can be so bad that you feel like vomiting every time you stand up. Covid really weakens the body. Take complete rest and don't try to move fast, ho na.

I totally get it, experiencing vertigo along with vomiting is absolutely draining and terrifying. It happens when the virus causes inflammation in the inner ear nerves. Please rest in a dark room and call a doctor for advice.
