Can covid cause stomach pain?

Having recently tested positive for Covid, besides the fever and body aches, I'm having pretty bad stomach pain and discomfort. My family members who had Covid mostly had cough. Can stomach pain actually be a symptom of Covid?

Yes, Covid can absolutely cause stomach pain and cramps. Gastrointestinal symptoms are quite common with this virus.

I totally get it, stomach pain can be so uncomfortable and worrying. Covid often affects the gut lining, leading to cramps and digestion issues. Just eat light foods and make sure to consult your doctor.

Yes, beta. The virus can target the digestive tract. Drink warm buttermilk or coconut water, eat simple khichdi, and avoid self-medicating with strong painkillers as they can irritate the stomach more.

Yeah, dude. I had crazy stomach aches when I got infected. It felt like bad food poisoning, but it was just Covid messing with my gut. Definitely check with a doctor to get the right meds.

When I had Covid, my main symptom was actually severe abdominal cramps and diarrhea rather than a cough. It lasted for about four days before my stomach finally settled with the prescribed treatment.

I had the same issue! The stomach cramps were so annoying. I drank warm ginger water and stayed on a very bland diet, which really helped soothe my tummy. Hope you feel better soon!
