Can costochondritis cause vomiting?

My chest has been aching a lot lately, and sometimes after the pain, I feel really nauseous, almost like I'm going to throw up. A doctor mentioned costochondritis once. I'm wondering if these two things can be connected.

Normally costochondritis doesn't cause vomiting, but severe pain can make you nauseous. If you are throwing up, check with a doctor.

I was reading about costochondritis symptoms because my friend has it. It is mostly just rib cartilage inflammation, so vomiting isn't a direct symptom. Maybe the intense pain or the strong painkillers are causing acid reflux and vomiting?

I had costochondritis for six months. The chest pain was so sharp that it sometimes triggered anxiety and mild vomiting. My doctor prescribed an antacid to take before the pain meds, and that completely stopped the nausea.

Directly to nahi hota haan, but jab chest pain bahut zyada badh jata hai na, toh ghabrahat se nausea and vomiting ho sakti hai. Also, are you taking heavy pain killers empty stomach? Usse bhi vomiting hoti hai.

Severe chest pain can definitely upset your stomach and cause vomiting. If you feel nauseous, try sipping on warm ginger water or sucking on a piece of lemon. But please make sure you show a doctor, as vomiting with chest pain needs proper checking.
