Can costochondritis cause back pain?

Mujhe recently costochondritis diagnose hua hai, aur ab mujhe upper back mein bhi dard rehne laga hai. Kya costochondritis ki wajah se back pain bhi ho sakta hai?

Man, costochondritis pain is so weird that it makes my whole ribcage and back ache, keeping me awake till 4 AM. You think it is just chest pain, but honestly, the strain radiates all the way to the upper back. I'm just living on hot water bags right now.

Yes, it absolutely can. When I had costochondritis, the pain radiated to my back and I felt so hopeless and anxious thinking it was something worse. It is exhausting to deal with, but please know you are not alone and this pain does eventually subside.

I was just diagnosed with this and I have been feeling a dull ache in my shoulder blades too. Can costochondritis really spread to the back? I am a bit scared, should I ask my doctor for a different scan?

Haan, bilkul ho sakta hai. Ribs connect to the spine na, so when the front cartilage is inflamed, your back muscles tense up to compensate. Mere cousin ko bhi same back pain ho raha tha costochondritis ke time.

Yes babuji, it can cause heavy pain in the back too. When the chest hurts, we tend to sit crookedly, which makes the back ache more. Applying warm mustard oil gently on the back gives a lot of relief.

Don't just assume it is costochondritis causing your back pain. I ignored a spreading chest and back pain once, thinking it was just muscle pull, and it turned out to be a serious issue. Please get a proper ECG and checkup done to rule out anything else.
