Can constipation cause back pain?

I've been having persistent lower back pain for a while, and I also struggle with chronic constipation. I'm wondering if there could be a connection between my constipation and the back pain.

Yes, constipation can definitely cause lower back pain due to the pressure of backed-up stool pressing on the nerves in your pelvic area. Since I deal with PCOS, I often get bloated and feel this back pressure too. Try drinking warm water and see if it helps, but consult a doctor if it persists.

Yes, the pressure in your colon can definitely radiate to your lower back. Increasing your daily water intake and fiber usually helps relieve the pressure.

Yes, it really can! 😅 The full feeling in your intestines puts pressure on your lower back nerves, making it ache. Drink some warm milk with ghee at night, and your back and tummy will thank you!

Yes, chronic constipation can put strain on your lower back muscles and nerves. Managing my high blood pressure means I have to avoid straining on the toilet, which can spike BP. Keeping a high-fiber lifestyle and getting regular checkups is very important.

Man, as if not being able to poop wasn't bad enough, now your back starts hurting too! It's because of all that pressure building up inside. Honestly, just get some high-fiber food, try to relax, and get some good sleep.
