Can concussions cause vomiting?

I had a pretty bad fall and hit my head yesterday. Since then, I've been feeling dizzy and even threw up once. Could these symptoms mean I have a concussion?

Oh, vomiting after any head injury is something you should not treat lightly at home. While we can use simple ginger tea for normal nausea, a concussion is a brain injury. Please don't try any home remedies for this and see a doctor right away.

When my younger brother fell off his cycle and threw up, I absolutely panicked thinking the worst. The doctor at the clinic explained that vomiting once or twice can happen due to shock and mild concussion, but they still kept him under observation. It turned out fine, but a checkup is mandatory.

Yes, vomiting is a very common sign of a concussion. Because head injuries can be serious, please take the person to a doctor or emergency room immediately to be safe.

Bro, I got a bad concussion playing football last year and threw up twice in the locker room. The team doc sent me straight to the hospital for a scan. Do not ignore vomiting after a head hit, get it checked immediately.

My friend bumped her head yesterday and has thrown up twice today. I am getting really anxious reading about this online. Has anyone else experienced this? Should we take her to the emergency room right now?

For normal stomach upsets, a little peppermint or fennel is good, but when there is a head injury involved, vomiting is a serious warning sign of pressure in the brain. Please do not wait for home tips to work. Take the patient to a hospital immediately.
