Can cold weather cause vomiting?

My little brother often gets an upset stomach and sometimes vomits after playing outside in very cold weather, especially if he hasn't had proper warm clothes on. My mom always blames the cold. Can cold weather actually cause vomiting?

I totally get it, feeling nauseous and vomiting when the weather gets very cold is so uncomfortable and confusing. Sometimes, the sudden change in temperature or inhaling cold air can upset a sensitive stomach or trigger a gag reflex. Please take good care, dress warmly, and see a doctor if it continues.

Actually, cold weather itself doesn't directly cause vomiting, but winter is peak season for viral gastroenteritis, often called stomach flu. Also, sudden extreme cold can shock the digestive system in some people. Drink warm fluids slowly, and please consult a doctor if you can't keep fluids down.

Yes, sudden cold exposure can sometimes upset your stomach and lead to vomiting or nausea. Please stay warm and sip some warm water slowly. If you continue to feel sick, it is best to consult a doctor.

Thand ki wajah se achanak ulti hona normal nahi hai, ho sakta hai thand lag gayi ho ya koi stomach infection ho. Bina doctor ki salah ke koi bhi dawai mat khao. Agar bar-bar vomiting ho rahi hai, toh turant doctor ko dikhao.

Repeated vomiting during cold waves can be due to stomach infections which can lead to expensive dehydration treatments if not handled early. To avoid high hospital fees later, start taking ORS at home and stay warm. If the vomiting doesn't stop, go to a government clinic or consult a local doctor budget-friendly.
