Can cod liver oil give you diarrhea?

I'm thinking of starting cod liver oil supplements for my vitamin D intake. However, I've heard some people say it can upset your stomach. Can cod liver oil give you diarrhea?

Yes, it absolutely can. High doses of fish oils naturally loosen the stool. If you are getting diarrhea, you are probably taking too much or taking it without a solid meal.

I take omega supplements carefully because of my diabetes management, and yes, they can irritate the bowel. If it causes diarrhea, it can mess with your hydration and food absorption. Please consult your physician to adjust the dose safely.

When I had stomach issues, the doctor at Fortis told me that fish oils can trigger diarrhea in sensitive guts. It is always better to ask your doctor clearly about the right brand and dosage instead of guessing.

Haan yaar, bilkul ho sakti hai diarrhea. Yeh heavy oil hota hai na, toh sensitive pet walo ko pachtaa nahi hai. Thoda dose kam karke dekho, theek ho jayega.

Yes, fats like cod liver oil can speed up digestion and cause loose stools if your body isn't used to it. Focus on clean eating and maybe start with a smaller dose of the supplement with a meal to let your gut adapt.

Yes, it is quite common to get diarrhea from cod liver oil. Don't worry, just pause the supplement for a few days and drink plenty of fluids to rest your stomach.
