Can coconut oil reverse cavities?

My friend swears by oil pulling with coconut oil and claims it can reverse early cavities. I'm a bit skeptical but also eager to avoid a dentist drill. Is it really possible for coconut oil to reverse cavities?

Honestly, no, coconut oil cannot reverse a cavity. Once the tooth decay starts, only a dentist can fix it with a filling.

Listen buddy, don't stress too much about this. Coconut oil is great for keeping your mouth fresh, but it is not some magical eraser for cavities. Better to just go to a doc and get it filled before it starts hurting.

Just like how a good diet and exercise can keep your body fit but can't heal a broken bone, coconut oil helps prevent future tooth decay but won't reverse an active cavity. I do oil pulling as part of my morning routine, but for a real cavity, you need to see a dentist. Cut down on sugary snacks too, that really helps the teeth!

My grandmother always used to tell us to do oil pulling with coconut oil every morning for healthy teeth. It definitely keeps the gums clean and healthy, but when my cousin got a deep cavity, our family dentist clearly said oil pulling cannot rebuild lost enamel. It is always better to trust the dentist's treatment for cavities.

I totally understand why you are looking for home remedies because dental issues used to give me so much anxiety. But oil pulling with coconut oil only helps with general oral hygiene and reducing bacteria. It won't actually reverse an existing cavity, so please don't let it stress you out more—just book a quick dentist visit.

It is a very common doubt, but coconut oil only keeps the mouth clean. It can't heal a cavity that has already formed. Take care and try to see a dentist soon.

Please don't experiment with coconut oil if you suspect a cavity. If the infection reaches the root of the tooth, it can cause severe pain and complex issues. It is much safer to get it checked by a dentist immediately.

I have PCOS, so I am always trying natural lifestyle changes for my health. While coconut oil pulling is nice for keeping gums clean, I wouldn't trust it to cure a cavity. It is better to get a dentist's opinion to be safe.

Has anyone else tried oil pulling for weeks hoping their tooth pain would go away, only for it to get worse? I was so scared of the dentist that I kept using coconut oil, but now I think I made a mistake. Did you also feel it didn't help at all?

I panicked so much when I saw a dark spot on my molar and tried oil pulling with coconut oil for two weeks straight, thinking it would reverse. When I finally went to the dentist, she reassured me it was a very minor cavity, filled it in 15 minutes, and it was completely painless. Don't worry, just get it filled, it is very normal and easy!

I read a lot of research papers on oil pulling because I wanted it to work. My dentist explained that while lauric acid in coconut oil reduces plaque-causing bacteria, it cannot remineralize a physical hole in the tooth. Once the decay reaches the dentin, a professional filling is the only scientifically proven way to stop it.

In Ayurveda, gandusha or oil pulling is beautiful for strengthening the gums and bringing balance. But we must be practical; it is a preventive practice, not a cure for physical structural damage like a cavity. Let a dentist treat the cavity, and you can continue oil pulling for daily maintenance.

At my age, I have tried many home remedies over the years, including coconut oil pulling. Take it from my experience, it will keep your breath fresh but it won't fix a cavity. Save your time and get a proper filling done from a good dentist.

There is a lot of online hype about oil pulling reversing tooth decay, but medically it is not possible. It is great for oral hygiene, but for actual cavities, a doctor's advice and treatment are best. Don't delay the dental visit as it might get worse.

Ghar pe log bolte hain ki nariyal tel se kulla karo toh daant theek ho jata hai. Par bhaiya, agar daant mein keeda lag gaya hai toh doctor paas hi jana padega. Nariyal tel se saaf-safai bani rehti hai bas.
