Can clenching cause tooth pain?

I've been under a lot of stress lately, and I sometimes catch myself clenching my jaw tightly, especially at night. My teeth have started aching. Can this habit of clenching my jaw be causing my tooth pain?

Yes, jaw clenching puts massive pressure on your teeth, leading to deep pain. While it's happening, try to eat soft, easily digestible vegetarian food like khichdi so you don't strain your jaw more. Avoid chewing hard things entirely.

Clenching is a major cause of tooth and jaw pain. Before going for expensive dental scans or treatments, you can ask a local dentist for a simple night guard. It is a cost-effective way to protect your teeth from grinding during sleep.

Bro, if you are clenching your teeth like you're in an angry Bollywood action scene, your teeth are bound to protest! It definitely causes severe pain. Relax your jaw, maybe stop overthinking so much!

Haan na, clenching causes so much tension in the jaw joints and teeth ho na. My daughter also had this pain during her college exams due to stress. Try to do some light jaw stretching exercises.

I actually didn't know clenching could do this. My back teeth have been hurting a lot lately and the dentist said there are no cavities. Could clenching during sleep be the real reason behind it?

Yes, I wake up with a dull ache in my molars and headache every day because of stress clenching. Does anyone else feel like their teeth are loose or extra sensitive in the morning because of this? It is making me so anxious.

Bruxism or sleep clenching is a very common cause of referred dental pain and jaw soreness. While stress management helps, getting a proper clinical evaluation from a dentist is the best approach to prevent long-term enamel wear.

I used to grind my teeth a lot during my stressful working years and it wore down my enamel, causing severe sensitivity. Trust my experience, getting a mouth guard early on saved my remaining teeth. Don't ignore it.
